Description: Minerals are known to stabilise organic carbon in sediments, affecting biogeochemical cycles and global climate, but the mechanism is not understood. Here, the authors suggest that manganese oxides can trap organic carbon and may act as a 'mineral pump', transforming carbon between labile and refractory forms. Keywords: minerals, Micro-FTIR images, XPS spectral analysis, carbon stabilisation, TGA spectral analysis, manganese oxide Date Uploaded: 12 October 2015 -

Description: This study investigates the application of 1/f noise spectroscopy to determine the morphology of organic photovoltaic diodes. Our experiments indicate that 1/f noise spectroscopy can provide detailed information about charge transport networks in such complex, bulk heterojunction devices, even when bipolar charge transport is present. This indicates that 1/f noise spectroscopy could be used to investigate morphology in a wide range blended organic electronic devices. Methodologies and descriptions of the data are described in full in the paper which is available open-access from the publisher DOI: 10.1039/C5TC00348B URL: http://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2015/tc/c5tc00348b#divAbstract
