Writing a good Data Management Plan (DMP) : a workshop [held on] 10 December 2025 Open Access
Data management planning is one aspect of Research Data Management (RDM). It’s good research practice to have a plan for managing your research data. If you’re going through the University’s ethical review process or applying for external grant funding, you may need to write a Data Management Plan. In this session, we will talk about the do’s and don’ts of writing a Data Management Plan. What is the structure of a Data Management Plan? What level of detail is required? What needs to be included? What can you omit? We will discuss all the most important aspects of data management planning. You will learn to use the DMPonline tool and will start writing your own Data Management Plan during the session.
