Tees Barrage Leaky Dam [dataset] Open Access

This dataset presents high-resolution experimental measurements from a series of physical modelling tests investigating the hydraulic performance of leaky dams as natural flood management (NFM) interventions. Experiments were conducted at the Tees Barrage International White Water Centre using both engineered timber dams and natural log structures with systematically varied spacing (“leakiness”). Water level data was recorded under a range of controlled flow conditions to quantify flood peak attenuation and delay. A no-dam baseline scenario is also included for comparison.

Physical modelling experiments were conducted at the Tees Barrage International White Water Centre using engineered and natural leaky dam structures with systematically varied timber spacing. High-resolution water level was collected across controlled flow conditions and compared against a no-dam baseline. The dataset presents the raw pressure data records used for an upstream/downstream convolution, retention time and storage analysis, plus point clouds for the dams and the course DSM.
