Calibration under Uncertainty of a Building Energy Model: Simulated and Observed Records [dataset] Open Access

Context: The data concerns a detached, two-story, masonry dwelling located in the UK. The EnergyPlus software was used to create a faithful model of the dwelling and simulate monthly gas consumption and hourly temperature within the building. | Research Goal: Investigate the model response to variations in 8 model parameters. To this aim, the model was run at 1000 different combinations of values of the 8 parameters. The 1000 combinations (inputs) and associated outputs, alongside the gas consumption and temperature records actually observed in the building, are reported in this repository. | Associated publication: The data is used to: i) train statistical models (Bayesian emulators) of the way the model responds to changes in the 8 parameters; ii) calibrate the model within an uncertainty quantification framework, so that simulated values match observed energy and temperature records.
