This dataset supports the manuscipt Merryweather L. and Hindmarch A.T., 'Analysis of Magnetization Dynamics in NiFe Thin Films with Growth-Induced Magnetic Anisotropies'.

X-ray reflectivity data are measured using a Bruker D8 diffractometer with Cu k-alpha radiation. The datafiles are tab-delimited ascii files, the first column is the scattering angle, 2 theta (degrees), the second column is intensity (countes per second).

Ferromagnetic resonance data are measured using a custom-built spectrometer, as described in the manuscript. The datafiles are JSON files containing various labelled metadata relating to the instrument configuration and data. The relevant fields are the output power (arb. units), applied field (Oe) and fixed RF frequencies (Hz) and angles (degrees).

The fits and scattering length density shown in figure 1 of the manuscript are derived from these data.
