This dataset supports the manuscipt "Proximity induced magnetism and the enhancement of damping inferromagnetic/heavy metal systems".

A description of the data and file formats is included below.
Please contact Del Atkinson <del.atkinson@durham.ac.uk with any questions.

The data for each figure is in the corresponding folder, with the file name providing the description of the data.

X-ray data was taken using synchrotron radiation at APS, and damping data using a ferromagnetic resonance system in Poznan.

Fits can be determined from methods described in the paper

Figure 1
SIMS data has columns coresponding to thickness, and intensity of Ni, Fe, Au, Pt for NiFe, and Cu,Co,Fe,Au,Pt for CoFe

XRR data has columns corresponding to angle (theta) and intensity

SLD data has columns corresponding to thickness and scattering length density, but can also be reproduced using GenX as described in the manuscript

GenX fitting parameters as described

Figure 2
Folder contains processed data with damping as a function of Au thickness, with Cu data providing bulk contributions.
Raw data available on request.

Figure 3
XMCD data has columns as labelled, with thickness and intensity
Subfolders contain hysteresis loop files with columns labelled

Figure 4 can be determined from the data used in previous figures
