All files are TAB delimited ascii and the header contains the quantity and units for each column containing the data shown in the figure.
Derived data, trendlines, fits and the resulting scattering length density profiles shown in the figures are not included, but can be reproduced from the measured data as described in the manuscript. The schematic of the BLS data, and the example data showing spectra including phonon peaks in figure 8 are also not included.

Figure2a.dat contains BLS intensity (arb.) vs Frequency (GHz), measured in an applied field of 2 kOe for the Pt/Co/Au(0.2 nm)/Pt film.
Figure2a.dat contains BLS intensity (arb.) vs Frequency (GHz), measured in an applied field of 2 kOe for the Pt/Co/Au(1.6 nm)/Pt film.

Figure3_main.dat contains Au and Ir thickness (each in Angstrom) variation of the BLS frequency shift Delta F and its uncertainty (each in GHz).
Figure3_inset.dat contains Au and Ir thickness (each in Angstrom) variation of the BLS average frequency F_average and its uncertainty (each in GHz).

Figure4.dat contains Au and Ir thickness (each in Angstrom) variation of the percentage DMI recovery, normalised to the maximum in the range 0-11 Angstrom, and the Au spacer thickness (Angstrom) dependence of the percentage of the maximum 'crossing field' from reference 31.

Figure5a.dat contains perpendicular scattering vector (inverse Angstrom) variation of resonant x-ray reflectivity, and error, for the Pt/Co/Pt film measured with the photon beam energy tuned to the Pt L3 absorption edge.
Figure5b.dat contains perpendicular scattering vector (inverse Angstrom) variation of resonant x-ray spin-asymmetry, and error, measured by reversing the applied magnetic field with either fixed positive or negative photon helicity.

Figure6.dat contains Au and Ir thickness (each in Angstrom) variation of Fractional PIM at the Co/Pt interface, with associated error bars.

Figure7.dat contains the surface DMI constant (pJ/m) dependence of the fractional PIM lost at the spacer interface, with associated error bars, for Au and Ir spacer layers.
