Figure 1.
Representation of the gelators used in the paper. Image generated using chem draw and saved as a jpeg. File is figure1.jpeg.

Figure 2.
Representation of the crystal structure of compound 2a. Structure was solved using X-seed and the data can be found under the Xray data for 2a folder. Crystallographic data can be accessed from the A028A12.cif file.

Figure 3.
Generated using a digital camera to image gels. Original file can be found under figure 3.jpeg.

Figure 4.
Generated using a digital camera to image gels. Original file can be found figure 4.jpeg.

Figure 5.
Rheological measurements were carried out with an AR2000 rheometer at 10C. Frequency sweep experiments were performed at a constant oscillation stress of 1 for the angular frequency of 0.1-100, while the stress sweep was performed for the oscillation stress of 0.1-100.

Figure 6.
SEM samples coated with 3 nm of chromium using a Cressington 328 Ultra High Resolution EM Coating System, and imaged using an FEI Helios NanoLab DualBeam microscope in immersion mode, with typical beam settings of 1.5 kV and 0.17 nA. Image found under file figure 6.png.

Figure 7.
Part a. gel photographed using 365nm UV radiation filed under figure 7a.jpeg. part b. Fluorescence spectra where each measurement was carried out three times, ?ex = 365 and 370 nm, 2 nm excitation and emission slit widths. Measurements were performed with a PTI QuantaMasterTM Spectrofluorometer.
